Ultimately the magazine has a barcode and scan code at the bottom left hand side of the magazine with its price in the Nigerian currency. Masthead The My Streetz masthead is very unique as usual but much different this time. The masthead has white text with a green outline and black shadow. Each letter is capital and uses colloquial language as is spells 'Streets' as 'STREETZ'. This use of colloquial language connotes the stereotype of a Cool person in society. The use of the Green and white colours represent a specific country in Africa which is Nigeria and reflects on the artists background as this is where he comes from. Lighting the lighting in this magazine is very little but used initially for everything to stand out on the front cover. From the artists cloths. Skin colour to the magazines text, the lighting has a very significant impact but one can say this conversely, juxtaposes the mood of the artists from the photograph to the bright background colour. The 'Green' background signifies nature and happiness which is the complete opposite of the artist emotion as he looks very straight face which could represent what type of person he is when he comes to business. NVC In this magazine the NVC is very similar to magazine one which is very serious and straight to the point. The artist has a very unique straight face which is a juxtaposition of the background of the magazine. Since the colour used for the background of the magazine signifies Happiness and nature; which is calm representation. Conversely the artist’s facial communication can be represented as someone who is serious when it comes down to business but not someone who is angry or very dull due to the representation of the 'Green background’. Furthermore, this may connotes the culture of men from his country which reveals generic Stereotype of Business men in the afro beats sector. Costume The costume in this magazine specifically connotes that the artist has a strong link to his country; Nigeria because of his representation. The artist is wearing a green blazer and white shirt which represents the colour of the Nigerian flag. This costume highlights his strong connection between him and his country as he represents it very well in this magazine which intimates that his outward appearance is very significant to the type of person he is. Secondly, the artist is wearing a pair of dark glasses which suggests he hides his true emotion behind his glasses. Furthermore this can be interrelated as he is a type of musical that does not mix emotion with his musical business but releases specific feelings through his tracks and songs Audience In conclusion, the audience for this type of magazine will be Africans who have a keen interest in farebeats. Majority of these Africans will be from Nigerians and will be from the ages of 12-60+ as 'Olamide' will definitely please most age ranges as he represents the values and morals of his country and ideally represents them in this whole magazine. |
